Zoning: Vacant Single Family Residential – No permanent home shall be erected on any Lot which shall have less than one thousand (1000) square feet of ground floor space including inside storage but exclusive of any portion thereon used for a garage, carport, outside porch, or outside storage.

Pershing County Nevada
Pershing County is located in Nevada with a population of only 6,668. In Pershing County, most residents own their homes and tend to be conservative. The public schools in Pershing County are above average so its a great place to raise a family. Pershing County was carved out of Humboldt County’s southern region after arguments over public funds necessitated a division of the territory. The state legislature created Nevada’s seventeenth county in 1919 and designated Lovelock as the county seat. The county was named after General John J. “Blackjack” Pershing.
Lovelock It is the namesake of a nearby medium-security men’s prison and a Cold War-era gunnery range. Formerly a stop for settlers on their way to California and later a train depot, the town’s economy remains based on farming, mining and increasingly on tourism.
Rye Patch State Recreation Area

Open year-round, Rye Patch State Recreation Area is situated on a 22-mile long reservoir that has 72 miles of shoreline and 11,000 acres of water surface when full. Visitors enjoy camping, picnicking, swimming and water-skiing, and fisherman delight in the available white bass, catfish, black bass and walleye. Trails around and throughout the park make it easy to enjoy the waterfowl and wildlife that abound, including hawks, eagles, owls, great egrets, antelope, deer and fox. The park also serves as a popular base camp for off-road vehicles, ghost town exploration and gold prospecting.
Black Rock Desert Wilderness

The Black Rock Desert Wilderness is a large desert playa and the remains of prehistoric Lake Lahontan. At 314,835 acres, the area is one of the largest protected desert playas in the United States. Vistas go on for miles and mirages sneak up from all sides of the desert floor. The vastness and overwhelming feeling of isolation in this wilderness create an experience unlike any other.
The Black Rock Desert Wilderness, which contains the eastern arm of the Black Rock Desert, is the largest Wilderness managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The Black Rock Desert is the dry lakebed of ancient Lake Lahonton and vegetation in the area consists mainly of saltbush and greasewood. Large portions of the area are unvegetated. Elevations range from 3,900 to 5,931 feet on top of Elephant Mountain. The Wilderness is essentially flat with the only topography occurring at Elephant and Pinto Mountains on the western edge of the area. During years of heavy snowpack the Quinn river flows through the area. The Wilderness also contains important paleological resources along the old lakeshore. Several mammoths and a saber tooth tiger have been excavated from the area. Wildlife in the area include; mule deer, pronghorn antelope, mountain lions, coyotes, and sagegrouse.
Trego Hot Springs

Trego Hot Springs is located in the Black Rock Desert at the location of Trego, Nevada, a former station on the Western Pacific Railroad. The name “Trego” dates from the 1910s, just after the railroad was built.
Trego Hot Springs is a long ditch with a soft mud bottom located in the Black Rock Desert. The springs are adjacent to railroad tracks and This hot springs is located on BLM land. It is open to the public and available for all to enjoy for free.
Star Peak

Star Peak is both the highest and most topographically prominent mountain in both the Humboldt Range and Pershing County in Nevada. It is the sixth-most topographically prominent peak in Nevada. The peak is on public land administered by the Bureau of Land Management and has no access restrictions.
Providing Castle Creek’s first water source is Star Peak, a beautiful peak that bookends the upper reaches of the Castle Creek watershed. Star Peak ranks in at 242 on the list of highest Colorado mountains. Star Peak also plays a major role in two additional drainages to the south, the Taylor River and East Brush Creek. Both tributaries flow south, southwest until they eventually reach the mighty Gunnison River.
